Paper Plane Café is a lovely little coffee spot on Horwood Place in Parramatta, parallel to the famous Eat Street. Its adorable setting of tiled tables, chalkboard drawings and pretty cushions makes it the perfect place to catch up with a friend for Brunch. Oh, and the breakfast menu is pretty good, too!

The brekkie menu has loads of favourites to choose from. From the very trendy smashed avocado, to the cutely named ‘Tiny Dancer’, a platter poached eggs, smoked salmon, bocconcini and other veggies delights, you’ll find yourself umming and ahhing as you spend a good ten minutes trying to decide what to order.

Eventually, I ordered the bacon and avocado eggs benny, while my friend Nat went with the big brekkie. While we waited for our meal, we sipped on our delicious coffees. I don’t know a whole lot about coffee beans and the likes, but I can tell you the Paper Plane are serving some of the best coffee I’ve ever tasted. It’s no wonder Parramatta is fast becoming the coffee capital of the country!

Our meals soon arrived and it was time to dig in (after taking photos of the food, of course!). My eggs benny were served on a gorgeous floral plate and tasted as good as they looked. This is a big call, but I am going to make it – best eggs benedict I’ve ever had! Every element on the plate was perfect and worked so well together. Nat enjoyed her hearty meal, too, despite me pinching some of her chorizo.

Paper Plane is a must visit for anyone in Parramatta. And there’s good news if you live a little further out west, as Paper Plane Factory has recently opened up in Girraween! We love their mission statement too: “We aim to provide amazing food and great coffee to the people of Western Sydney.” Amen to that.
