Crossroads Hotel is an iconic landmark in Western Sydney pub culture. If you're a Western Sydney local, you know exactly where this pub is, it sits at the intersection of the Hume Hwy and Camden Valley Way in Casula. This famous hotel is also an award winning venue, it just achieved three top awards at the 2018 AHA NSW Awards for Excellence! The wins are for Best Casual Dining Venue, City Chef of the Year for David Beus and Most Innovative Refurbishment.

If you haven't seen the Crossroads Hotel lately, you may be in for a big surprise. The refurbishments have transformed the Hotel into a fresh and modern venue.

Crossroads Hotel Bistro is the hotel's stylish dining area. The decor is bright and open with white walls and splashes of green. The bistro can cater for up to 400 diners, and private spaces are available for functions.

The menu is curated by Head Chef David Beus. David offers a feast of pub grub dishes with virtuosity. He has reinvented pub classics and included  modern food trends such as Roasted Pork Knuckles, Artisan Burgers and healthy Vegan Salads .

We dined at Crossroads Bistro as a family of four, including myself and three hungry men  (my husband and two sons).  They munched on share platters of Beef in Black Bean Nachos, and a cheesy Marjoram Pizza while I opted for a pretty pink cocktail and fresh chickpea  salad.

We also had an elegant platter of seafood. The Ocean Harvest Tasting Plate for Two is a beautiful platter of a hot and cold seafood comprising of 2 fresh oysters, 2 perfectly grilled scallops, tender salt & pepper squid, cured salmon, crisp battered flathead fillets, and an impressive selection of condiments. This seafood plate is great for two, but if you love fresh seafood as much as I do, you may find  that it's too good to share!

We also ordered  an eye catching Seafood Basket and a 400 gram pasture fed Pinnacle Angus T-Bone, which is the biggest steak on the menu

Crossroads Bistro offer a selection of gourmet toppings which add some extra magic to a schnitzel or a steak. We went with the ultimate topping of grilled prawns, salt & pepper squid and béarnaise sauce. Other options include caramelised onions and goats cheese,  or a Mexican themed topping with beans, guacamole and sour cream, and more.

Our dessert cravings were satisfied with a creamy Mars Bar Cheesecake and a fudgy Chocolate Brownie served with ice-cream, whipped cream, berries and cheeky chocolate drizzles.
