Yep, that’s right, just a train and tram ride away in Pyrmont, the Sydney Wine Centre sits above a bottle shop on Harris Street, where you can taste your way through Europe or brush up on your fancy-pants vino-lingo.

Pasticceria Caruso in Western Sydney’s Wetherill Park is not just your typical shopping centre café. It's location in the busy Stockland Shopping Mall, conveniently right outside the major supermarkets, makes Pasticceria Caruso is the perfect place to stop for coffee and a bite to eat. But this place offers much more than that, they are masters in cake and pastry.

Every Sydney-sider has their go-to Italian restaurant. With so many options available, sticking to your local sure makes life easier so you can focus on making other difficult decisions like choosing the pizza or the pasta…or both. But this weekend, Mum and I decided to be a little bit more adventurous. We headed into the quiet, little inner west suburb of Summer Hill to try a much loved neighbourhood gem, Da Vinci’s Italian Restaurant.

Ah, the weekend! For me, Monday to Friday is spent looking forward to those two days where I can catch up with friends and family, sleep in (if I’m lucky), plan for the week ahead and have brunch. Parramatta, how we love you! We can barely keep up with the new cafes constantly popping up in this ever-expanding area of Western Sydney. Social Hideout has been on our hit-list ever since we came across them on instagram a couple of months ago. A quiet Saturday morning presented the perfect opportunity to finally visit this café for brunch.

The Western Sydney Food Bloggers were pretty excited about a week ago. We were invited to a masterclass and lunch at Stockland Wetherill Park. Our teacher was celebrity chef, Miguel Maestre! It was a special occasion to kick start a new initiative by Stockland's called, The A to Z of Mmmm!
